Imagine if you could make artwork for your next song / album in 60 seconds just by typing a sentence, for free. That day is here now, and while its not perfect it might make a sense for a lot of music artists to save money for song cover art.

First
This is crazy.
Second
Just wait until the same tools pop out fully finished pop hits.
😳😬🫣
This is dope, thanks for sharing💯
Wow, pretty interesting to see it come together. Thanks!
How can you be sure these images aren’t copyrighted?
I did the cover of my latest track in just a few minutes this tool is so powerful!! Guys don’t forget to check how people in the discord use the tools because some specific keyword can change everything
"headphonesreading" lolll this is dope bro
An amazing tool whether you're creating finished artworks or using it as a jump off point to create something else. Sometimes it's just great to unlock creativity. I'm also using it to create images to animate for a music video.
I've been working with this for a week now and it's amazing! And I'm using it for cover art! …And fun lol
Someone is also working on an AI that will create animations from text prompts so those could be theoretically used to make Spotify Canvas images and such
Looks cool because we are all lazy. But there is a risk that your artwork will not be unique, even though the variations proposed by the AI decreases this risk. Also, after this tool becomes overused, Spotify users will recognize "AI art" unconsciously and releases using it will look "cheap".
If you don't have money to pay an artist for your cover art, just do it yourself. You might enjoy the process and realize it might not take you so much time. The artwork is part of your artistic identity and should be unique.
YEAH!!!! THANKS!!!!
I recommend Disco Diffusion. The results are a bit more abstract but very artsy and it's free. You can add artist names (in all AI programs) to make it generate something in that artists style
I get this is helpful for others. But I really feel like it takes the humanity out of the art. And I feel like people will take artists and their work less seriously than they already do.
The future is cool. But I don’t like the replacement of artists.
1:56 what bias lol?
Woahh. Mind blowing
Surely the role for pro artists in this is for us to hire someone to make any alterations or corrections you want, and to ensure it's absolutely unique? Should be cheaper than having someone start from scratch.
great, untill there is AI that produces, mixes and masters music in seconds better than any human can
As an album cover designer, this upsets me. I can't believe AI already has the ability to do this
It is funny, I just had the same idea recently! I enrolled in the close Beta of Dall-E 2, and got approved a couple days ago.
It can of course not replace a real designer, especially doing merch design, but some results are more than fine. And if you wanna design your own cover art in Photoshop, instead of paying 30$ or more per month for stock footage everyone could use, you could just generate unique assets with AI, and mask them in Photoshop. Sometimes you also do not find the things your looking for in stock libraries or it takes ages. AI generated assets are always one of a kind.
Being a musician means going with the tide of times, and adapting and finding new innovative ways of doing things.
PS: The AI took "Rock Music Cover" in the most literal sense, and create a music cover with a giant rock in it. Mystery solved 😉
Is it legal to use midjourney art for cover art on Spotify or on YouTube?
Delete this video, they don’t need the sauce
I've been playing around with Midjourney, Nightcafe and DiscoDiffusion. Its exciting yet terrifying to see what the ai generates. I still love and prefer making art using Gimp/photoshop though, ai just helps with ideas. The future is kind of scary.
I've been experimenting with this stuff myself lately. Mostly Free ones just to see what happens, then I just Clean it up or add my own elements (I'm also a graphic Designer.) Saves me a lot of time, when I just don't have any.
Wait until full songs with vocals are made in ai
😲
How were you to be able to have your own channel and be alone in it? I seem to be stuck in conversations with a bunch of people and I struggle to keep up and find my stuff through all the crap being generated by everyone haha.
It’s no coincidence that I’ve been on midjourney for the past 5 days. 🤦🏾♂️👍🏾✌🏾
Hey i went to the link you gave in your description to try it by logging in with my discord but it doesn't tell you what to do next. I dont see a create button or anything. Is there a guide somewhere? By the way i only see $10 option and $30 option. No free option to try it out
You've saved my life…I need to check this out, thanks so much 🙏🏾. I'll use this for now until I am able to afford a real artist.
Mind… blown. One of the best channels out there.
I'm actually using Disco Diffusion to make the music video along with the album art.
You don’t know how many hours I spent on this stuff after watching this. But thank you, seriously.
This is not free. Art created during your free trial is not licensed for commercial use. You need to pay subscription in order to be able to use it as cover arts!
I love MidJourney. I use it for my album covers, but they always need some more love after MidJourney does its work. However, for thumbnails on my blog, for example, I can just take it straight for MidJourney and there is something there instead of nothing. I really love it, great service.
FYI: I don't know if it has been mentioned before, but I think you have a typo with "headphonesreading" with one of the lofi girls. I am not sure how sensitive MidJourney is to that.
The same thing is happening with music too, where AI will generate lyrics and melodies for you. You kinda have to find where your boundaries are, that you feel it’s still largely your work. The jury is still out for me on this.
Now just waiting for AI generated animations <3
Woah!!!!
I've been playing with AI art for a few weeks and I love it. It's going to save me so much time and will cut several steps and many hours from my current process.
I normally do my own art but it can take me 30+ hours to do a painting. When I have money I hire artists and I've always been happy with the results, but it's a big outlay for little return interms of plays etc.*
I can see an opportunity here for artists to add AI art as a new tool. It takes time to learn how the prompts work to produce the images you want. Artists could offer AI curration as a service along side their current services. One of the reasons people hire creatives of any type, is because of their unique taste and veiw point they have developed. Deciding what prompts to use, and which source images and colour palates to feed the AI is just a new lense for that artistic filtering.
In future I'll be using AI to generate ideas and bases for my music art. I can feed it colour palates, textures, and images I've made or collected. Then I can process the base images in photoshop, or Corel Painter if I want to give the image a painterly feel.
*my music is pretty average, and I don't really promote it much
Does anyone know if it's possible to use images generated by DALL-E as album covers??
Is it me or all this artworks are horrible? I mean, yeah with the right words you can do something interesting, maybe for a Tshirt. But I´d never buy a painting with one of those, they have tons of errors, and they look pixelated. lmao. it´s fun for playing for 10 minutes , but you can do super amazing artworks with photoshop and huge images. not this
Who are the people making money from this? Anyone know?
So, how do I credit them. I need to credit them, right?
This is crazy ! If they do something similar for music production we are done…….., but I can tell from what I see all over the internet, Midjourney images have some pretty signature look and for sure it will be overused. So artist with unique style have still hope……….
BROTHER, YOU ARE THE BEST!!! You oooh really helped me!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
When I go into the website it looks like I've been hacked lol
If you make an album cover for your music and you sell your music, do you need to maintain a Basic license to continue using the Album cover?
This is so crazy.. I'm scared to be replaced by AI's making music :O
Thanks for the quote!
I'm trying this out now. I typed in "demonic giraffe" and got some awesome artwork out of it. I'm not even going to use it for anything specific. I just saved a high resolution of a demonic giraffe to my computer because it looked cool.
I've been using it for a while on another project to test, and the resolution is very good for album covers and creating content too (with limitations depending on the style of resolution you like)…. I do graphic design and music…. so crazy the things you can do without doing shit hahaha 🤣
awesome video. What if i created i pic i really like with the free account? can i use it if for my new single if i pay for the 10$ subscription for 1 month? can I continue to use the picture for commercial purposes even if I cancel the subscription after 1 month? would love to use it for my new single…great video.. Thank you
What if I create these 25 pictures and keep on doing??
LOL, I have never ever heard this question before "if you know Iron Maiden" haha I am getting old. Young generation missing too much. We are in 2023 but there is nothing to substite them. Really sorry.
Does the output meet size standards for digital platforms and cds?
You don’t own it. Midjourney owns it. You can use it but you don’t own it. Bad idea. Not remotely fantastic if anyone can use your artwork. Dumb.
