Welcome to the third video in the How to use MidJourney Commands series!
This AI Art tutorial explains how to use image references in Midjourney AI, How to use image weights in Midjourney AI, and explores the different results obtained by varying these command inputs. Example 1 is an abstract example, while example 2 is a Midjourney AI character design example.

Very well done, thank you. Saw this in the midjourney discord
Interesting. I play around with pics of me for future album covers. And so far (3 weeks in) latest from today, following all suggestions, is, that I (a blond man middle long hair) created the black and white portrait of a dark haired woman. ::iw 5. That is… strange. You blond woman result is 100 x better.
You could also use 3 different image links and add: a space, :: and a weight, so you can choose what links get the most influence so link1 ::1 link2 ::2 link3 ::1 L ink 2 will become dominant
Hello,
My free trial has ended, and I'm unable to sign up for the paid plan since I don't have a credit card and Stripe isn't currently accessible in Kenya. I only have PayPal, Please advise on how to resolve this.
Woww, thanks!!
These are great videos. Thanks again for your help with my hexagon plate on discord. I'm going to use the image that you created as image reference and play with the weights.
It is actually fascinating to me how the art community of our generation is basically "feeding" AI by collecting data + crypted informations. Somehow, we are currently developing the foundations that will allow ultra comprehensive conversations with "AI". How mesmerizing..
you are not an artist
This is a good, well explained video. I have had little success getting something I was aiming for with reference images. I will give this method a go and see how it turns out. Thank you.
Nice tutorial. After you drag and drop, how do you send the image? I happens so quickly in the video. Thanks.
stable diffusion is so much better at doing this.
It would have been wonderful if you'd included how to upload an image to your Discord server. Great tutorial otherwise!
how can I use MidJourney in my channel?
I didnt know Midjourney had an image reference function – excellent! I'm excited to try it out. Thank you for sharing!
lit!
Has she been snuffing something. geezus
Those nostrils lmao.
Thanks for your videos, don't stop making them.
I want to ask a question: For example, I want to generate a cat driving a motorcycle. Is there a way or code that generates images so that the entire motorcycle and cat are visible without creating cropped images or only part of the object?
Thank you for this video! Exactly what I was looking for 😄
Could you give multiple image prompts for the same image different weights? 🤔
Thank you for sharing, does anyone know, how to get the link on an iPad?
damn learned so much, buy i used up all midjourney free credits and sad they will not give any more for free
This was indeed quite helpful, thank you!!
Thank you so much I did not knew I could use more than one image at a time! you blew my mind lol.
Can you add me to your server?
Lol you made a NYYXXII.
This is what I've been looking for when it comes to leveraging images, I love it! I like the use the same image three times I would have never thought of that. So, Thank you! I will subscribe to your channel and share your content with the people who want to create NFTs.
thank u
If you don't specify any words does it behave like -iw 9999 ?
question: Can this work the same way for a full body picture of a character?
Example: a full body reference pic of Green Lantern Kilowog from DC comics
I am unable to open the image
8:32 "platinum blonde" would work better
Now I need a tutorial on how to add an image to discord. Yup, you guessed it, I'm "older". 🤨
What's the benefit/reason for doing multiple prompts at once per Enter key, vs. seperating them out into different queries with multiple Enter keys?
I have no commands like /imagine . Just on direct message with midjourney bot
very good thanks
Her neck is massive
Important lesson. Thanks, guru.
Very insightful! Could you tell me the difference between increasing iw (1 to 2 to 5 to 10000) and increasing the number of reference links (I think they both make the results have more similar features of the original)
Many thankse!
Excellent
I knew i could use a reference photo but i didn't know i could use multiple! Thanks alot, you just upped my game! Just tested it out with some of the old images i had made and the results where great.
Hi!
I upload the images but when clicked, they do not open.
It's Jessica
