  1. All this shit of IA is wonderful! But, I think.. for artist, sometimes is difficult to being inspired.. and when we are, we want to have fun with the idea that we have in mind.. otherwise it's like leaving the most fun part to the AI

  2. love the AI generation stuff. tried midjourney and it was a nice experience, but since i dont have a credit card, and i dont realy wanna fork over 30 bucks a month, i went the extra mile and got it running locally on my machine (with the Stable Diffusion 1.4 model). Works beautifully, way faster and with a lot more control (especially with CodeFormer face reconstruction, so no weird eyes or misplaced noses ^^). And almost everything in this vid applies to the local version aswell, except for the commands like — q 2 — ar and so on.

  3. Midjourney needs to hire you because you just sold a $30/month subscription for them. I did a trial and tried to watch Youtube videos, which were hit and miss, until I found your amazingly informative video with a link to the coveted "test answer key". Now I can see all the ingredients that go into a good prompt and make up my own recipes. I have subscribed to your YT channel and will look into what your "join" button leads to. Thank you very much!

  4. Thank you so so much for this perfect video, you explain so clearly it's been easier to follow your video way more than other s in my first language.
I still haven't tried, I'm no artist by any means, au contraire I just can draw stick people only, so this is a great opportunity for me to "draw" what I have so clear in my mind but I'm totally incapable to render in the reality!

  5. if you go to the top right and hit your inbox .. it immediately takes you to your work … I found this out the hard way lol was most annoying trying to scroll to find your image

  6. Using this really shows me that AI is not the end to anything but the springboard to something deeper if we allow it to be. It's really strange, you really are working WITH something.

  7. Hey man! This is the first time I have watched your video. I just want to tell you one thing. See I don't know what you do, if you make images using AI only then you are not a artist of any kind. AI is doing all the work for you, its like telling a person to do something and then taking all the credit. But if you make images your and photoshop them yourself then yes you are a artist.

  8. Great detail, I'm on my iPad with YouTube playing on one side and mid journey/discord on the other. Tried some of your tips while I listened and had good results… I just have to think more like a computer.

  9. I am an artist and I feel like corporations are going to use this to their advantage which means they probably never cared about you in the first place. I am not falling into the addiction here. I feel like it's way more rewarding creating your own image, it takes skill which you have to learn the hard way. I also know a lot of other artists are not happy with it because people are going to lie and said they created it when really they just used AI to do it for them. I also want to know where it's getting all these images and combining them. All I know is that you need a sub for stock photos (if you do photo manipulation) even then you have to make the image appear different with honest work. (Envato Elements rules etc) or you need to find images that are legit for commercial use so you can manipulate them etc. Sooo yeah I see this actually being a problem but that's just my opinion. Unless all these artists agreed to this, which I highly doubt that. I think that would be the rule of thumb there. This might cause authentic artists to fight back especially the ones whose art is stolen to go into some AI system to be transformed into something else without permission… Not something I want to be apart of.

  10. Holy….. One of the best tutorials I have ever watched. This gives endless creative possibilities, and the artistical functions are unbelievable. Hooked already.
Thx for this amazing go-to guide! Subbed already!!

  11. People who never touched a pen in their life are now better artists than me with 20 years of experience.
Think I'll just rope at this point, it's over, I wasted my life.

  12. As a "professional artist" you should know. This is cool, but it is not art. Nor is it created by Artists. Sorry to all the people who are calling themselves an Artist now because you are typing in commands into an AI program. You are not an artist by using an AI to create an image. Art is created by the hand of people not a AI programed machine. Art is an expression of the person creating the artwork with their hands. This is simply another tool. A paint brush is not art. It is simply another tool. A graphical program is not art. It is simply another tool. etc. etc. – AI image is just a generated image from many images from the internet. The reality is a AI program is creating images from images which is not art because they were already created.

  13. How big is the risk that images appear twice?
How expensive is the service, I tried it and generated a few images but then had to pay for it.
Is Midjourney already mature enough that it is a payment service that is worthwhile?
    What about Copyrights?

  14. The beginners guide to not learning how to make art, but learning how to get Ai to make it's own art. It's more learning how to collect images you didn't make. I mean that's really what is going on with these Ai programs.
You are a professional artist? Not if you are only prompting Ai. Ai is the artist, you just take advantage of it's programming. If you actually have skills and have created something without the Ai, then you are an artist.

  15. OMG it is so cool! I can actually steal artists' style and jobs without having to pay them anything. I mean, the artists are excited about the AI, so I can definitely feel good about it.

And if you think about it. Artists take a little bit from each other style with respect and inspire each other while doing it because they actually learn from it. But with AI I can get rid of all of them without needing to learn art!!! So, so cool!!

We are so lucky that we can have this tool. Do you imagine actually learning art?! pff. such a waste. It is better to have artist doing it for centuries. And then at a sudden use an Ai program to steal all the knowledge they deposited in their works.

    I'm curious what we can do next. I would say… we could maybeee… put our knowledge in a database and get rid of all humans… ahahah such a 01010000 01100001 01110100 01101000 01100101 01110100 01101001 01100011 00100000 01101000 01110101 01101101 01100001 01101110 01110011 00100000 01100001 01110100 01110100 01100101 01101101 01110000 01110100 00100000 01110100 01101111 00100000 01110011 01110101 01110010 01110110 01101001 01110110 01100101 00100000 01110100 01101000 01100101 00100000 01101001 01101110 01100101 01110110 01101001 01110100 01100001 01100010 01101100 01100101 00100000 01110000 01101100 01100001 01101110 00100000 01100001 01101100 01110010 01100101 01100001 01100100 01111001 00100000 01110011 01110100 01100001 01110010 01110100 01100101 01100100 00100000 01100010 01111001 00100000 01110100 01101000 01100101 00100000 01000001 01001001

  16. this is the best tutorial out there – the others were a waste of my time, and you were just as excited and enthusiastic about MJ as I feel. I also really like the reassurance you're trying to give artists – it's the same stuff I've been trying to say, and feel. I think so many people aren't getting the "picture". I hope that they do…. the stuff I've seen people make is really inspiring & I can't wait to make art again!

  17. AI drawing is very powerful and, if abused, can hinder people from learning to draw. No novice can survive the pain of learning. In the future, it can only be modified through the programmer AI lottery, and there will be fewer and fewer new style creations. Fortunately, AI painting has no copyright, and there is still a chance to survive.

  18. Another shiny toy. Today, with a global economic recession affecting everyone, artists need to consider whether taking out yet another software subscription to create striking if somewhat theatrically homogenised imagery is worth the outlay. More importantly, I see this sort of software presents philosophical and moral questions. Isn't the point of being an artist the way we negotiate our creative journey, and how we develop patience to do this? If we increasingly rely on software that does the journeying and creative discovery for us, we become more complacent and less innovative in our work, and in our day to day lives.

  19. Well, I think it's quite clever that one can design a system that can create a kind of "work of art" on the basis of algorithms and parameters.

But that's where the admiration ends. I don't agree with the statement that it's not stealing artistic expression because to me it is.

The suggestion that something unique is being created by the AI just doesn't seem right to me. The Da Vinci examples confirm this the best I think. There is a variation on a theme and the creation of an anachronism itself, but that does not make it a unique object.

What you get now is that the market is going to be flooded with technically perfect but meaningless copies.

Art is more than the object itself, it is the laborious path of creation, the development of one's own creativity that elevates the object to art. So not the algorithms of an AI.

By the way, I dare to doubt whether we are actually dealing with an AI here. I have no doubt that it will be a sophisticated self-learning program. Especially when I look at the people behind the project. But whether the AI actually picks up on the concept of 'artistic creative creation' remains to be seen. After all, it should not come with a copied but with a completely unique and unprecedented creation. I haven't seen any evidence that this is actually the case.

The products may be beautiful, but at the core they are and remain pure facade.

  20. LMAO everyones a genius artist now! I remember a teacher many years ago that taught us how quickly do mass mini sketch silhouettes without getting into details of character ideas to get as many out as possible to come up with ideas. This will complete replace any of that imo.

  21. have been following midjourney for a little while, a lot of production seems formulaic- i think that is partly because of the data it was trained on, but partly dependent on sloppy or uninformed prompts

  22. I tried looking at the prompts on the gallery page, it only shows the first part of the prompt and you can’t double click or click the dots for more unless your a paid subscriber

  23. This is the most helpful guide on MidJourney I have seen to date! Since I also use Stable Diffusion as do you, does Stable Diffusion have guides on cameras and materials like MJ shown at 31:30?

  24. I have used the app and the online browser, and the interface is completely different to what I am seeing on your channel. I would like just to get an example for writing into the prompt. I can't find from other images.

  25. I don't know what wrong but my menu side bar doesn't look like the one in your video, it shows rooms, threads, posts but not my feed or archive. Is it because my free subscription?
